Postcard
I used Canva for the postcard as I was already familiar with the platform. I had used the title card as the main image with the apostrophe as a paint drop/tear drop to keep with the branding. I kept the imagery very simple and minimalistic, adding bits like the premier date, awards and the production house for the front. The back has the childhood painting and synopsis, just so audiences could have a basic understanding of the themes of the story. It also shows the showcase timings in the different film festivals to advertise the short film.

Social Media Page
I kept with the blue backgrounds, matching the postcard. I used a more artistic and abstract approach. With three pinned white posts at the top to represent the perfectly stoic surface Gary is force to keep, whilst having the bottom be the different shades of blue and mixing imagery from the film. I used #BoysDontCry to create a niche and something the audience can use when posting about the film – to create audience engagement. There are also statistics and questions on certain posts for the audience to answer to encourage more participation.
I also created a couple reels for more engagement. Including a 'storyboard vs final product' to tease the full film.
I made a linktree to compile everything on both the social media and the postcard, modelling LAIKA studios'. This is so audiences would have access to the website to learn more about the production, any other screenings of the film through a digital version of the postcard and the social media.
